김기민씨 마린스키 프린시펄 승급 소식

김기민씨와 티무르 아스케로프가 이번에 마린스키 발레단 수석무용수(러시아식으론 프레미에르, 영어식 프린시펄)로 승급했다.

연차나 연기력 등을 보면 프레미에르는 좀 이른 감이 있긴 하지만, 그래도 지금 마린스키 발레단 남자 무용수들 중에서는 스타성도 좋고 관객들에게 사랑도 받고 무대 위의 존재감도 뛰어난 무용수이다. 특히 도약은 타의추종을 불허한다. 원체 지금 마린스키 남자 수석 중에는 젊은 축은 슈클랴로프 밖에 없고 나머지는 이반첸코, 콜브, 코르순체프였기 때문에 수석 승급이 필요한 시점이기도 했다.

김기민씨, 다시 한번 축하해요!!! 더더욱 갈고닦아 테크닉과 스타성과 더불어 출중한 연기력과 무대 위에서의 여유도 겸비해주시면 더 좋겠어요~ 작년 라 바야데르 황금신상이랑 돈키호테 바질 추는 거 마린스키에서 봤는데 그때도 멋있었어요 :)

 

내 개인적으로는 세르게예프와 예르마코프가 아깝긴 한데, 전자는 스타일 자체가 프레미에르와는 살짝 안 맞고(본인도 그렇게 생각하는 듯, 이전에 발레 잡지 인터뷰에서 자기는 프레미에르 스타일이 아니라고 하기도 했다만), 후자는 글쎄... 언젠가 되려나.. 이 사람은 좀 성격파 배우인 것 같아서 지금 파테예프 진용에서 거기까지 밀어줄지 잘 모르겠다.

We are delighted to announce that our soloists Timur Askerov and Kimin Kim have been both promoted to Principal Soloists of the Mariinsky Ballet, effective today.

Timur Askerov will appear in three performances at the historic Mariinsky Theatre this month: tonight he is dancing the role of Count Albrecht in Giselle, then the role of Ferkhad in Grigorovich’s The Legend of Love (April 22), and will debut in the role of Zobeide’s Slave in Fokine’s Shéhérazade (April 25). Next mo...nth he will dance the title role in Ashton’s Marguerite and Armand (May 1) and the lead solo role in Balanchine’s Diamonds (May 6), will debut in the role of Jean de Brienne in Raymonda (May 10, mat), and then will dance roles of Oberon in Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (May 19) and Aminta in Ashton’s Sylvia (May 24).

Kimin Kim will also debut in the role of Zobeide’s Slave in Fokine’s Shéhérazade (April 26), will dance the role of Solor in La Bayadère (April 30), the Nutcracker Prince in the 3rd Act of The Nutcracker (part of the ballet gala on May 6), and the role of Count Albrecht in Giselle (May 11).
